Product Description
Adjusting mold nuts typically consist of a nut body, which may be composed of multiple composite materials, such as a ductile iron matrix and a high-strength brass threaded body. These materials are combined using specific processes (such as centrifugal casting) to form a structure with excellent performance and durability.
In an injection molding machine, the adjusting mold nut is usually rotated by a hydraulic motor. When the hydraulic motor operates, it drives the adjusting mold nut to move axially along the tie bar via the threads on the tie bar. This movement causes the tail plate to move left and right, thereby achieving the purpose of adjusting the template distance.
Features and Advantages
Composite Material Structure: By adopting a composite material structure, such as a ductile iron matrix and a high-strength brass threaded body, the adjusting mold nut can achieve excellent quality comparable to using solid high-strength brass at a lower cost.
Reduced Failure Rate: This composite material structure significantly reduces the failure rate of the adjusting mold nut's drive threads, such as seizing and sintering.
Material Savings: Since high-strength brass material only accounts for a portion of the entire part volume (approximately 1/3), a significant amount of non-ferrous metal can be saved.
Significant Economic Benefits: Compared to a solid high-strength brass structure, the composite material adjusting mold nut costs only about half as much, resulting in significant economic benefits.
